Homegirl Cafe
The good people at Homeboy Industries have brought us Homegirl cafe a great little restaurant on Alameda north of Union Station. The food is actually really good, but be prepared to wait a while to get seated and served. Since Homegirl Cafe is providing jobs for people either recently out of prison or those troubled by gang violence they are still learning how to serve and wait tables. However, the staff is extremely polite and patient, even from pushy diners like myself , so I definitely applaud their effort. The bottom line is the food is good, so check it out:
